Islington Council’s guide to Safeguarding Adults ‘Safeguarding adults’ means helping adults, who may be at risk, to stay free from abuse and neglect. It used to be called ‘Adult Protection’. Islington council has put together a quick guide which explains what safeguarding means and what staff and volunteers in your organisation should do, if they have concerns that an adult they know is being abused.
