130611 Kings HeadAward-winning local company TheatreUpClose are donating a proportion of every ticket bought by Voluntary Action Islington friends or supporters for their production of Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off.

Tickets to the show are available to Voluntary Action Islington friends and supporters at a flat rate of £20 (normally £20.50-£25). Every ticket bought by a Voluntary Action Islington supporter, TheatreUpClose will donate £8 to us! This offer is valid for all performances from 1st – 22nd June.

Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off explores the rivalry and mutual fascination between Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I. Not seen in London since 1987, Liz Lochead’s play re-tells this murky tale of political and sexual intrigue with ferocious wit and innovation.
